The new Department of Crop Physiology was carved out by splitting the erstwhile Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding & Crop Physiology on 2^nd June 2019. The Department offers different UG courses in Crop Physiology and Seed Technology including some experiential learning module courses such as Seed Production Technology, Molecular Diagnostics, Diagnostic Physiology and Plant Growth Regulators for B.Sc. (Ag) programme. The Department is also offering Ph.D. programme in Crop Physiology along with some supporting courses like Stress Physiology and Mineral Nutrition of Plants for Post Graduate students of other Departments. The research activity of the faculty members of the Department includes some high priority areas such as stress physiology, molecular biology, mineral nutrition, seed physiology, plant tissue culture and plant growth regulators.
